New music.

Saturday, September 9th, 2006

What is more inspiring than listening to your music? Yes I’m talking to you iPod fans out there who may or may not have been listening to the same playlist over and over and ovar again.. That’s what I did at least with my little mini iPod for about a year or so until i got bored with it. I never actually got round to making new playlists, mainly because I believe listening to music should also be a relaxing, inspiring and surprising experience.. okay, and I’m too lazy and easily bored to spend my sundays making playlists. Sorry for the rant here. Let’s start again..

YouTube dedication.

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

I never really got into the spending-your-evening-in-front-of-the-pc thing, possibly because I don’t like watching the same screen I’ve been watching all day.. Maybe because I’m quite happy to be surprised by what TV has to offer. It doesn’t really matter either way. What I did want to share is a little observation, which makes perfect sense, come to think about it.. Or does it..

Social overload.

- this blogpost does not contain answers -

MySpace, Friendster, Cyworld, Yahoo 360, Hyves, Hi5, 43People, LinkedIn, Spaces .. the list goes on and on. Then there’s Blogger, Wordpress, Flickr, Flock, Digg, Ohmynews, Current TV, NowPublic etc.. . and the all combining Technorati, Del.icio.us and Wikipedia. Almost forgot the oldies MSN, Skype, AIM, . Pretty daunting if you’re just starting out.

Why should you join? What if you join the wrong group? How many different groups do you join? Where are your friends at? Where are the interesting people at? Where do you put up your blog? How many places do you have for getting messages in the end? How does all this affect your privacy? How does this affect our usage of time? How is my sister - who is everything but tech-savvy - going to get all this and be part of this if it’s going to be as big as we like to believe it is?

Mix ‘n Mash-up.

Tuesday, April 11th, 2006

I just found a link to eye-spot, a video upload, control, trim and mixer tool to share creations with your friends. This is the kind of tool which is really good for a good laugh and some creativity. Motorola came up with a similar kind of tool just a few days ago, and although it is limited already uploaded video files and pre-cut scenes, you can still create funky movieclips to send on to your mates. It kind of reminds me of the weddingcrashers crash trailer or the senseo mixer (shameless plug)
I really feel these are the kind of tools that make the internet a much more fun place. To enable anybody to create content, and to create a smile on the face behind your desk :)

Habbo meets MySpace in CyWorld.

Thursday, March 30th, 2006

via : CyWorld is coming to America. If you are unaware of CyWorld, think of millions of Koreans - and more recently the Chinese too - who are online, on their mobiles or pcs all the time using CyWorld to stay in touch with their friends, peers and like-minded people. Join or create clubs (although I have been unable to sign up at the time of writing) and join the new virtual community.

Mobile internet! But not on your mobile.

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

Not sure if everybody is familiar with the term ‘Walled Garden’, but this is what the internet on pretty much every mobile is like. From the early limited internet services like I-mode (correct me if I’m wrong) to today’s mobile internet services provided by Vodafone.

PSP taking on mobile.

Wednesday, March 15th, 2006

“The PSP is scheduled for a major firmware update this spring, with plans for a videophone and VoIP capability, as well as a Global Positioning System (GPS) add-on module, which will be supported by certain games. The next version of the PSP web browser will feature Flash support.”

-ars technica

WiFi on yer PSP and DS, videophone and VoIP.. is this a trend of non-mobile wireless communications apps? Interesting stuff, but I can’t help feeling that it would be so much more beneficial if these things we’re actually mobile.
