Frontiers of Interaction IV

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Just thought I’d briefly mention this Italian interaction design/theory event. With Adam Greenfield, Bruce Sterling, Nicolas Nova and Ashley Benigno - who I’m proudly working with at HWL - amongst others.

I never really got into the spending-your-evening-in-front-of-the-pc thing, possibly because I don’t like watching the same screen I’ve been watching all day.. Maybe because I’m quite happy to be surprised by what TV has to offer. It doesn’t really matter either way. What I did want to share is a little observation, which makes perfect sense, come to think about it.. Or does it..

May 1st Reboot

Monday, May 1st, 2006

Will this be the year we actually get round to publishing a new site on May 1st?

Give it your best shot!

Mix ‘n Mash-up.

I just found a link to eye-spot, a video upload, control, trim and mixer tool to share creations with your friends. This is the kind of tool which is really good for a good laugh and some creativity. Join or create clubs (although I have been unable to sign up at the time of writing) and join the new virtual community.

Mobile internet! But not on your mobile.

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

Not sure if everybody is familiar with the term ‘Walled Garden’, but this is what the internet on pretty much every mobile is like. From the early limited internet services like I-mode (correct me if I’m wrong) to today’s mobile internet services provided by Vodafone.
